In a real Crossfit Spirit I have decided to explain why I go to Crossfit Praha.
As in why I three to four times every week through, rain, snow, sunshine and and storms drag myself to a desolate gym that is spartan with no machines, no mirrors, no egos and only one shower (sometimes with warm water). Where I am paying to drag, lift and carry heavy weights while I do jumps, squats, lunges, push-ups, pull-ups and god (that is Mr. Z for the rest of you) knows what. For a training regime we voluntarily drag ourselves through as fast as possible while we can barely breath, stand or keep running although we keep trying until we are done. Giving up is not an option. All this muscle pain, muscles screaming for air, heart beating so hard it almost jumps out of the rib cage while I know that I have “only” (that is with 30 kilos), 40 thrusters, 10 burpees, 40 box-jumps, 10 burpees, 40 push-press and 10 burpees until I am done. While I know that tomorrow won’t be any easier.
Why then? Because I want to:
- Look better
- Perform better
- Feel better
